Sports - Scheduled Events
OCS competes in sports with other christian school in our area. We travel as far south as Virginia, and north to Pennsylvania.
The Odenton Christian School Athletic Department strives to teach our athletes perseverance, hard work, team work, and sacrifice. We focus on biblical character traits to show our athletes that athletics can be use to teach them useful lesson about their Christian life and their walk with Christ. The purpose of having our athletic programs is twofold: first, to bring glory to God through the skilled use of the bodies that He has blessed our athletes with, and second, to train our athletes to strive to be the best that they can be. It is with these goals that we practice and play all of our athletic contests.
The Odenton Christian School Athletic Program consists of five different sports. We currently have boys soccer and girls volleyball from August to November. From November until March, we have girls and boys basketball. In the spring, we have girls soccer from March until May.
Our Volleyball team has an outstanding record. We are developing a strong JV team that will carry over in the next few years to be a strong varsity team. Our coach for Volleyball is Mrs. Kobe, who has experience as a high school player herself.
Our soccer coach for both boys and girls teams is Mr. Davies. He has over 10 years experience in coaching soccer.
The boys varsity basketball team has excelled this year. The hoop boys end the year with a much anticipated Staff/Student game. Mr. Toby Hawkins, who played college basketball, is our varsity coach.
