Meet Some Of Our Teachers

We have 21 teachers on staff at OCS. Seven teachers are in the Kindergarten department headed by Mrs. Lee. Each Kindergarten teacher has 1 aid with them in the classroom. Teacher/Aide to student ratio for the kindergarten department is 1:11.

Our Elementary department is from 1st grade - 6th grade. There are seven teachers in this department which gives us a teacher to student ratio for the elementary department of 1:19.

In the secondary department there are seven teachers that instruct. Teacher to student ratio for the secondary department is 1:8

Some of our teachers include:

Mr. Price, one of our 1st grade teachers, came from Fairhaven Baptist College. He has been with us teaching for 6 years and before that was our extended care coordinator. He is also very involved in the OBC bus program and drives one of our church buses every Sunday.

Mrs. Kobe teaches K4. She has been working with OCS for 9 years. Previously she served in the Air Force, now has 3 charming children plus 25 in her classroom. Mrs. Kobe volunteers her time teaching Sunday School at Odenton Baptist Church and works with children Wednesday nights in Lighthouse Club at Odenton Baptist Church.

Mrs. Donovan teaches 5th grade in our elementary department. She was born in Maryland. Graduated from Arundel Institute with an Architectural Degree. Has one dog, half Cavalier Spaniel and half Bichon Frisé. She is happily married to a mechanical engineer, they have six children.

Mrs. Norris has been a vital part of OCS for 20 years. She teaches English, Algebra, and basic math in our secondary department. Mrs. Norris has three delightful children, all of which attend or have have graduated from OCS. As the secondary coordinator she is dedicated to making sure that department maintains high standards in academics.
